The Discovery Centre offers a variety of excursions (extra cost) to discover the country - registration on the premises, subject to availability.

Discovery Desk

Bavaro Shopping (1/2 day)

On the road to Bavaro, visit to a cigar factory.

Free time, shopping in local souvenir shops: rum, amber and Larimar jewellery, wooden sculptures and Haitian paintings.

Dominican Colors (1 day)

The Romana region welcomes you.

Begin the visit with Altos of Chavon, the medieval-style town and its Taino museum, and continue onto Romana to discover the local way of life with its traditional market and cigar factory.

local Aperitif "Chez Chantal" who welcomes you to her little paradise to serve you a delicious Dominican meal with crawfish.

This excursion ends with the discovery of the "Water grotto", a former shelter for the Taino Indians.

Manati Park (1/2 day)

A special trip for children and adults alike!

A lovely park of exotic animals: Flamingos, tortoises, crocodiles and iguanas with shows featuring parrots, dolphins, sea lions, horses...

Santo Domingo (1 day)

In the footsteps of Christopher Columbus, discover the first capital of the new world.

The streets of the colonial old town, the Cathedral, the fortress, the street of the Ladies, and the Alcazar. Visit to the amber museum or Larimar.

Buffet lunch on board at the Intercontinental. Panoramic tour of the modern city, the National Palace and the Malecon.

Free time to do some shopping. *UNESCO-listed site.

Saona Tour in Catamaran (1 day)

In Bayahibe, we embark on a catamaran to the cape on the island of Saona in Este nature reserve! Our crew promises you memorable holiday moments and relaxation. Stretch out in the nets and let yourself be gently rocked by the waves of the Caribbean or come dance the Bachata and the Merengue with us... Anchor will be dropped in the perfect place for a buffet lunch on board beneath the coconut palms. Unwind and lie back under the spinnaker.

The Indian River (1 day)

A beautiful adventure in the heart of the tropics, formerly the territory of the Taino Indians, the natural and grand setting featured in the film " Apocalypse Now ".

Magical descent of the River Chavon by boat or canoe, swimming and swing from ropes just like Tarzan. Finally, lunch at the farm on the sea shore.
