Principal activities : Based on agriculture, the Senegalese economy has been dependent on groundnuts for over a century, even if it has also turned to rice and cotton Since the 1980s income from fish exports has overtaken the income from groundnuts. Tourism represents 10 % of the country's income.
Principal partners: France, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Mali, Algeria, China and Japan.

Medical assistance in the Village

- Infirmary : open every day, located in the Village. Sale of first-aid medicine. Two nurses are present at pre-defined times. Medical consultations upon request (payment in local currency)
- First-aid kit at disposal in the different departments of the Village

* Medical assistance outside the Village :
- chemist/Pharmacy in Cap Skirring
- specialized practitioners in Dakar

* Compulsory vaccinations (even without an obligation from the local authorities) : yellow fever.The vaccination is valid for ten years and can be done at least ten days before the departure.

- A vaccination against Meningitis A and C can be advised - please ask for information before your departure.

Paludism :
- Paludal endemic area ; strict preventive measures are necessary.
